Techniques for tightly coupled parallel magnetic components are also different with respect to the winding methodologies. As each winding of a parallel magnetic component by definition must encompass different portions of a flux it has to be wound on a separate portion of the core. In this geometrical arrangement minimizing leakage cannot be achieved by known, standard methods of interleaving, and multifilar winding which were developed for common serial magnetic structures. Instead a Intercoil Bifilar Winding technique should be used.
